Privacy Policy
Dominant Energy Inc. ("Dominant Energy," "Blip," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Blip mobile wallet. This Privacy Policy describes the limited information handled by Blip.
Blip is a self-custody wallet. We do not receive or store your seed phrase, private keys, device passcode, biometric data, or wallet unlock credentials.
What Stays on Your Device
Your wallet secrets, imported contacts, profile photos, saved addresses, local wallet settings, and app-wallet records are stored on your device unless you choose to use a feature that sends information to a third-party service or to a public blockchain.
Device Permissions
- Camera: Used for QR-code scanning and optional image capture.
- Contacts: Used only if you grant permission to import contacts into the app.
- Internet: Used to load balances, prices, app content, and submit transactions.
Optional Online Features
Blip uses online services to load balances and prices, submit transactions to blockchain networks, open websites in the in-app browser, and support optional hosted request, checkout, swap, card, referral, and app-wallet features. When you use those features, the information needed to complete the action may be processed by Blip servers or service providers, such as wallet addresses, request or invoice identifiers, transaction hashes, checkout metadata, and payment status.
Third-Party Services
If you choose to use integrations such as Stripe checkout, ChangeHero, Zebec, blockchain RPC providers, or websites and dApps opened in the browser, those services may process information under their own policies. We do not sell personal information.
Public Blockchains
Blockchain transactions are generally public, permanent, and not controlled by Dominant Energy. Wallet addresses, transaction hashes, smart contract interactions, and related on-chain activity may be visible to anyone and may not be deleted by us.
Wallet Security
Wallet credentials are protected by platform security features such as iOS Keychain and Android Keystore. We cannot recover your seed phrase or private keys for you.
Retention and Deletion
Local app data can be deleted in Blip or through your device settings. Hosted payment or support records, if created by an optional online feature, are kept only as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, resolve issues, or meet legal obligations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates the latest version. Continued use of Blip after an update means the updated policy applies.
